Chris and Debbie Duggan have been members of ‘Lifestyles’ for the last two years, They joined to take advantage of the crèche facility for their twins while they get fit and healthy.
Chris uses the gym while Debbie uses the gym and also takes part in the variety of classes on offer. She said: “The classes are excellent, the instructors are very professional, they really encourage you to push yourself.”
Between Chris and Debbie they use the Xcel Leisure Centre and Alan Higgs Centre five times a week. Debbie also explained what drew them to ‘Lifestyles’: “It can be hard work trying to occupy the twins all day so having that time in the crèche helps break up their day and is good for our well-being,” she said.
“It means it’s a family occasion we can work out and have the peace of mind that the twins are safe and enjoying themselves.”
The twins had never been left anywhere before they used the crèche so Chris and Debbie were slightly nervous about leaving them.
Debbie said: “the crèche staff have been fantastic, we really feel that they care about the children and Sean and Niamh love it.
“They have made great relationships with staff and other children and have thrived from being in this environment.”
Chris and Debbie also said in the future they intend to enrol the twins in swimming lessons and when they are old enough will get them involved in the holiday activities. Finally we asked Chris and Debbie their thoughts in general on ‘Lifestyles’. Debbie said: “we have met people of all ages and from all walks of life, it is a sociable place to be.”
