The Coventry Sports Foundation managed Alan Higgs Centre in Allard Way is to host a special international rugby dinner to mark the final day of the tournament.
On Saturday, March 19 the venue will be showing what is set to be the decisive England versus Ireland fixture on the centre’s big screen while also serving up a two-course meal with an Anglo-Gaelic edge.
Andy Adkins, commercial manager at Coventry Sports Foundation, said the event promised to be an exciting occasion.
“There is a lot of excitement around the game, especially as it could turn out to be decisive, so we are really looking forward to hosting this event,” he said.
“I know a few of our staff members with English and Irish connections have already started vying for bragging rights so it should be a good atmosphere.
“We hope as many people as possible will attend and make this a Six Nations tournament to remember!”
The main meal of Irish stew and dumplings with soda bread will be followed by English and Irish cheese with biscuits and celery. The bar will open from 3pm, with dinner served from 3.30pm followed by the game which kicks off at 5pm.
Booking for the meal is essential with tickets priced at £12.50 per person or £66 for a table of six with discounts available for Coventry Sports Foundation Lifestyles Health and Fitness members.
