

As a leisure provider, Coventry Sports Foundation is becoming more and more aware of its impact on the natural environment and is looking at ways to reduce such impact. Accordingly, the Foundation has contracted The Living Environment Trust to undertake the Environmental Management for the Foundation. The Living Environment Trust is an environmental charity based in Coventry.
The Living Environment Trust believes that urban green spaces play a key role in conservation. Accordingly, the Trust seeks to restore neglected and vandalised green spaces, particularly within an urban context.

The aim is to restore green spaces that have suffered from neglect and vandalism to create ecosystems of high ecological value, and demonstrate that built and natural environment can coexist through appropriate consideration of environmental issues.

The Living Environment Trust specialises on a variety of Protected Species Survey, in order to assist Local Authorities and Developers in identifying whether a specific site contains or is likely to contain protected species. In accordance with the findings, the Trust will advise on work that may be necessary.

The Trust focuses on neglected and vandalised sites, in order to enhance the existing biodiversity through habitat creation and restoration. The Trust also assists privates and public organisations who want to develop wildlife friendly gardens within their grounds.

The Living Environment Trust offers companies advice on the process to implement an Environmental Management System within their business operations. The Trust uses a modular approach for this service, in order to tailor the service provided to the specific demands.
